Artist Statement

I seek to create dynamic, sculptural pieces that are defined by my own set of parameters. By juxtaposing the cool finish of polished sterling with textured and patterned oxidized areas I strive to give the pieces some warmth, a real awareness that it is of the hand, yet modern and clean at the same time.

My inspiration comes from the manmade as well as the natural. I am trying to present a different take on things that have been made many times by many people. It is about balance, the balance between the future and the past, the sleek and the irregular.
